Line 01 · Spectral coatings

Manage the light. Lift the yield.

Where traditional whitewash only shades, our coatings re-tune the sunlight a greenhouse wastes into the wavelengths plants grow on, cutting summer heat while raising yield.

How it works

From wasted light to usable light

Plants photosynthesise mostly in the blue and red parts of the spectrum. Much of the ultraviolet and green light hitting a greenhouse is wasted, or worse, adds heat that has to be cooled away.

Luminescent and light-conversion coatings absorb those low-value wavelengths and re-emit them as red and blue. The crop gets more of the light it can use; the greenhouse gets less of the heat it doesn't want.

What we apply

A coating matched to the crop and season

  • Removable, season-matched: applied for the cooling season, removed for winter light.
  • Luminescent & light-conversion films: from proven suppliers, re-qualified for Ontario crops.
  • Fits your glazing: glass, acrylic, polycarbonate or poly.
  • Professionally applied: we handle spraying, curing and removal.
What to expect

Two effects, both measured

We instrument every treated greenhouse, so the results are your own numbers, measured on site.

15–25%
Lower cooling-energy load in the treated area
10–20%
Higher marketable yield from better light quality
1 season
Removable coating, re-applied each cooling season

Illustrative pilot targets, validated on site. Actual results vary.

The difference

Measured ROI

The coating comes with the measurement layer built in. Sensors capture light, energy and yield before and after, so payback is a number you can take to a grant officer or a lender.

The same sensor kit powers MRV-as-a-Service, so your coating trial doubles as the start of grant-ready carbon and energy reporting.
