About XLANDIS

Grow more. Cut energy and carbon. Turn the data into decisions.

XLANDIS is an Ontario agri-food cleantech venture helping greenhouse growers cut energy and carbon through two complementary lines that share infrastructure, customers and funding.

The opportunity

The squeeze is real, and unaddressed

Energy is a greenhouse's biggest cost, and carbon pricing, grant reporting and retailer demands now force growers to measure and cut emissions. Yet the tools are split: coatings only shade, data platforms only optimise yield, and carbon software ignores greenhouses.

Most tools address one side or the other; XLANDIS connects the physical fix to the proof.

The approach

Capital-light and grant-led

Pilots and MVPs are funded largely by non-dilutive programs, de-risking the build while producing the verified Ontario data that unlocks commercial sales.

We start on Ontario's dense greenhouse cluster, then expand to indoor and vertical farms and food processors.

Why two lines beat one

A flywheel, not two businesses

The coating pilots install the exact sensors MRV needs; MRV's data proves the coating's ROI. Each lowers the other's cost and raises its credibility.

1

Install shared sensors

One kit serves both lines.

2

Capture verified data

Energy, carbon, light, yield.

3

Prove ROI + sell reports

From one dataset.

4

Win more growers

Lower cost feeds more installs.

Built with Ontario's ag-innovation system
